Hilda

Hi! My name is Hilda. I have been making cakes for family and friends for about 12 years. I have always loved doing this and never thought I was going to start a business. Now that I have started "Tink Wonder Sweets" I feel like I have accomplished one of my goals. I am currently making my cakes out of my home. I plan on someday opening a small bakery and joining my business with my sister. She is also a cake maker and has her business running from home, as well. She is the one who pushed me into doing this again and making it official as a business. She has also got my niece making cakes and she is amazing at it. My niece is 13 and is very creative and talented when it comes to cakes and decorating with fondant. I can say this runs in the family, now I just have to wait for my daughter to get older so she to can make cakes with us. I am always trying to create new flavors and new decorations. I have a very tight schedule right now because I have 3 kids. They keep me busy all the time with school, homework and activities it can get a little crazy at times but that's when my cakes come in and relieve me of any stress. My kids know that when it comes to "Mommy" doing cakes, it means business and its my own time and no one needs to bother me. My kids are amazing and they are my best critics. Kids always speak the truth and they make sure to let me know when something is not right with my new flavor creations. I know that practice makes perfect and perfect can always be better. I am also a Wilton Method Instructor. I am soon going to start to teach my classes and I am super excited. I can't wait to teach the art of decorating cakes. My teacher told me "A cake can be decorated as far as you let your imagination go" thanks Phyllis. Phyllis to has inspired me and gave me confidence by always telling me I am going to do great. She is an amazing teacher love all the things she taught me.
