What about Isomalt?

hiya what about using spaghetti painted silver or if you have a clay gun with modelling or flower paste use the disc for hair and leave them to dry hard :)

Thanks Tynka, I thought about isomalt, but I find it really hard to pipe fine lines with it. I also thought it might be a little painful to eat.

Hi MJH, I like the idea of using the extruder gun and letting the pieces dry. I hope they will be hard enough to push into the fondant. Thanks for the suggestion.

vermicelli noodles are thinner and paint with silver.

was going to suggest a type of thin spaghetti noodle but see its already there :)

Hi Jcandy, I just realised I had forgotten to post my picture on my page. So sorry, have posted it now. I used spaghetti to make the needles, painted them with silver and tipped them with red royal icing.
