I heard of people using Craft Easymold Silicone Putty, I too was wanting to try and make my own molds. I already live somewhere that all our cake supplies have to be bought online and the shipping/cost can be insane. I still wanting to double check to see if this was actually ok (food safe) to use but I thought I would throw that out there and see if it helps you. I know you can get it at Michael’s also, but here is a link to it on Amazon.
