re: Marketing a Home Bakery

Hello Kay,

I’m seeing some interesting ideas here. The point most make is that you want your work to be seen, whether it’s online or in person.

Adding to the online point of view, if you’re shorter on the budget side, I’d suggest a Facebook Fan Page to begin with. You can get it up and running quickly, have a photo gallery of your work, etc.

Although you can get a few local “Likes”, with your Facebook friends, I’d suggest you use their Pay Per Click advertising. It’s great if you are on a budget. You can place the amount you are willing to spend it can be anything, say $10-$20 for a 4 day campaign, you can pick the territory you want the ad to be placed for (wherever you live), chose if you want men or women to see it, their age group, their interests.

You will only pay for the people who actually click on your ad (cents ) and if you set the ad right, it will not spend more than the budget you give it.

That will help you get new people who will see your work and start contacting you. A little investment can go a long way.

Best wishes,
-K
