I think you meant “immortal” :)
Many people are immoral by not abiding to regulations and therefore endangering others.
A lesson to slow down?? Maybe a lesson to accomplish and appreciate as much as we can while we can and for the good of humanity, if possible. A lesson to be less arrogant towards nature.
