Many years ago I was told to add a bit of Super Pearl luster dust to either gold or silver luster dust, then thin with vodka or Everclear. It does make metallics exra shiny and bright. As for edible, the only brand I have seen is from Australia and I am not sure it passes U.S. requirements.
