$35 is way too low. Like Goreti said add up all of your costs, including your time, dish soap, paper towels, everything. The cost of a cake is much higher than you think. I’m in Canada and charge $50.00 for a 6" fondant covered cake with a simple cake flavor and decorating design. The more time consuming the decorating the more it costs same as cake flavor and filling.
Years ago I was told a good rule of thumb for beginners is: all your costs x 3 = cake price.
It will add up to way more than $35. People have no idea the time involved to make an awesome cake.
