bellacakesand is correct that most people favor the Canon over an Epson, The main reason for this is that the canon print head is removable and the epson is not. By being able to remove the print head, you can easily clean it when needed.
Currently there are 4 different manufacturers of Icing Sheets, and you will find each manufacturer has a different style of product. This is because of the differences in how the sheets are made. You will find that each sheet has benefits for certain tasks.
If you are looking to save on your start up cost, Purchase your printer locally (but you must make sure it is a model that uses the available edible color cartridges, the latest cartridges available are compatible with Canon 220/221 and Canon 225/226 series cartridges) then order the supplies you need from the companies out there. (This route can save you upward of $200.00 or more from buying a package from the Icing Sheets suppliers)
