In the class, spout & handle were modeling choc.
To attach the spout, drive the dowel BELOW the cardboard between your cake layers. Angle it downwards,‘it will go through the cake board under your cake and into the styro base. Leave enough dowel sticking out so yo can put your spout on it. Once it hits the styro base it should be pretty secure. You do not have to have the spout dowel go thru the whole base, just enough to be secure (give it a wiggle, you’ll feel it’s secure). Just using glue to attach a gumpaste spout would not hold because of the weight, you need the dowel and the melted candy melts as your glue.
