Hi and welcome back to my kitchen. Macarons are so perfect as a small treat or used for decorating cakes. In this weeks video tutorial I am going to show you how to make French macarons.
Not to be confused with the coconut macaroon, these small biscuits or cookies are almond and meringue based and sandwiched together between a delicious filling.
In this video I am going to go through all the ingredients you will need and how to prepare your macarons.. I really hope you like them and you enjoy the video!
The ingredients you will need to make around 30 complete macarons is:
85g – Icing Sugar
80g – Ground Almonds
80g – Caster Sugar
60g – Egg Whites (Usually around 2 medium eggs)
Flavouring of your choice if you choose
I then baked them in the oven at 130 degrees Celcius for 10 minutes on the middle shelf.
For the chocolate ganache in the center you will need:
250g– White Chocolate
100ml – Double Cream
