Flowers #11: How to Make a Sugar Gumpaste Peony Flower Step by Step Tutorial

Welcome to my tutorial. This is an updated version of my previous peony tutorial. In this tutorial I demonstrate and talk you through how to make a Decorative Peony Flower 1 step at a time. The flower is made with flower paste/gumpaste. It can be made with modelling paste or fondant with a little tylo added by the flower would not look so refined. You are guided through making the stamens, the flower centre, wire and tape the flower and dust the flower too. This is a great tutorial for those wanting to move forward from the all in one cutters, learning how realistic and effective a wired flower can be. These flowers look stunning on wedding cakes and all celebration cakes. This method can be used with clay, fimo and air dry clay. I cover my cakes with Massa Ticino Tropic Fondant.
