This one is for the newbies to cake decorating. Creating a great foundation is one of the most important skills to master. I can’t work out how to get the video to play here so below is the link on how I ganache a cake. The ratio of dark chocolate to cream I use is 2:1 in the winter & 3:1 in the summer. It needs to set firm at room temperature & is the ideal base to use under your sugarpaste.
