DRUM SET CAKE

This is a especial cake I made for Tota, one of my sister’s best friend, who turned 50 last 7th April. Her friends wanted her to have a drum set cake, since Tota loves playing that instrument.

I had never made such type of cake before, so I had to do a research of real drum sets on the internet till I found a model to follow. I decided to make non edible drums, so that my friend could keep them after the party. They were made out of porexpan covered in fondant and edible paper.

The cake was a

chocolate cake filled and covered with Swiss Meringue buttercream). The message in the cake was printed on edible paper.
