Carved cakes dummies
Hi folks, I want to start making cakes and sculptures in 3D. Even I have not encouraged to do anything, I do not have much knowledge about it. They would be so kind as to give me some advice?

Hi veronica, I am still learning sculpting cakes as well. A good place to start would be to check out some videos on you tube. Start with something small that you think you can handle. Some classes from craftsy.com would also be very helpful. A simple cake with a steady base would be the easiest to start with and then work your way to learn how to make more elaborate cakes with internal supports. Threadcakes.com entries have pictures and information on how some of the cakes have been internally supported so you can get a fair idea on how they are done. Hope this is helpful. Good luck!
