Mint Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe

Ingredients:

Note down the things which are required for preparation:

  • Self raising flour: 225 grams
  • Caster sugar: 225 grams
  • Rich Cocoa powder: 4 table spoons
  • Baking powder: 1 tea spoon
  • Plain chocolate:100 grams
  • Eggs: 4
  • Butter (unsalted): 225 grams
  • Peppermint essence: 1 tea spoon

Things required for icing

  • Peppermint essence:1 teaspoon
  • Icing sugar (sifted): 225 grams
  • Unsalted butter: 115 grams
  • Green food colour
  • Chocolate chips-plain / chocolate sprinkles:100 grams

Method for baking:

  • The first step is to preheat the oven to 160 Degree Centigrate. Place some paper cases into the muffin tins.
  • Take a glass bowl and put the flour, baking powder and cocoa into it.
  • Take another fresh bowl, place the sugar and butter and beat it smoothly. Add the eggs one by one and beat them altogether. Add the mixture of the flour gradually into it.
  • Blend the chocolate chips and mint essence.
  • After that put the ready mixture into above mentioned cases and bake the cupcakes for 25 minutes.
  • When the cupcakes are fully baked, put them into the refrigerator for about 15 minutes so that they become chilled.

Methods for making the icing:

  • Take a fresh bowl, put the icing sugar and the unsalted butter in it. Mix it gently with the mint essence. Put a minimal amount of green food colour and turn the icing into mint green.
  • Take out the cupcakes from your refrigerator, ice them and do some decoration onto it by putting some crushed chocolates. Or you can use some chocolate chips too.
