Create a little hook in a flower wire:
Make a cone with the fondant and insert the wire into the bottom:
Make a piece of gum paste very thin with the rolling pin and, using the plastic knife tool, cut 2 drop shaped petals.
Using edible glue, attach them to the cone creating a swirl:
A different view of the blossom.
Let it dry for few minutes:
Cut 2 other drop shaped petals and put them over the previous ones, making a swirl, slightly more open:
Cut 2 more drops, put them on the soft mat and roll the ball tool over the edges to create a sort of ruffle, like real petals.
This is the double swirl:
Now cut the gum paste into 3 drop shaped petals, create the ruffles on the edges and let them dry 10 minutes over some spoons:
Attach the petals to the blossom, using the edible glue.
Put the next petal on by overlapping half of it over the previous one.
Now cut 5 petals, roll the ball tool over their edges and let them harden over the spoons for 30 minutes:
Attach the 5 petals in the same overlapping way.
Leave the rose to dry for few hours before dusting it with a soft brush and powdered colours:
