Christmas cookies recipe

This is my favorite christmas cookies recipe.
Cookies always come out crunchy & so delicious.

Recipe :
450 g all purpose flour
1 egg
100 g sugar
200 g butter (room temp)
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking powder (most recipes don’t ask for baking powder but it’s the best. yummy cookies guanranteed!)

Mix all ingredients
and wrap in plastic wrap
Put in refrigerator for at least 2 hours, Cut with festive cookie cutters

Cook on medium heat.

For royal icing

250 g icing sugar
1 egg white (room temp)
2 tbsp clear vanilla
1 tbsp lemon juice

In a bowl beat egg white then add vanilla, lemon juice & icing sugar gradually and beat until icing is smooth and glossy.
Divide into separate bowls, and add food colorings to each to desired intensity.
Nicely decorate your cookies.
