I’ve never had to ganache and cover a square cake. When I do I will defintely be using this tutorial.

Yup made perfect sense to me – I freaking HATE ganaching squares – never thought about doing it this way, so will definitely be trying this as I swear ganaching squares takes me about 3 hours!! lol

Thanks for sharing Eleanor, fab tutorial!!! I read the comments above….I must be a freak because I actually prefer to ganache a square cake!! Covering it, I can take or leave but I love a good square slab of chocolate sitting on my workbench ;)

I agree Raewyn – nothing better than a square of ganache, but gawd I take far too long!! Hopefully this technique will speed me up, cos 3 hours for one square cake is just ridic!! ha ha!

Hi Beryl, I’ve used covered Masonite boards, they are widely available here in Australia. You could use drum boards or foam core as well.
