re: SISA

Hi Sisa, I replied to your query on the cake’s page but I taught that it would be better if I repeated my message on your page to make sure that you see it since I replied a couple of hours after your comment. With regard to the flower cutter, I used a normal rose petal cutter (single petal not the 5 petal cutter). You just have to make five petals, frill the edges a bit and cup the middle a bit. Leave them to dry on a rounded surface to give them a little concave shape for about 24 to 36 hours. Then you have to assemble the flower using royal icing. I cover a styrofoam flower concave form or patty tin with a little foil than put a small piece of tulle (1cm squared) on the foil (the tulle helps the flower from collapsing once the foil is removed. Then I place a small amount of royal icing on the tulle and arrange the dried petals overlapping each other. I subsequently insert stamens which had been cut in half and without the head in the center of the flower (in the royal icing) and leave it to dry for 48 hrs before removing the foil from underneath it.

I hope the above is helpful. If you need any other clarifications just let me know.

P.S. I added some more details this time which I forgot to mention before!!!
