Sure Toni! Unwrap the Jolly Ranchers, one color at a time. Put them on a silpat mat, which is placed on a cookie sheet. Your oven should be at about 250 degrees. Put them in and let them melt down. Once they are melted into a pool, (10-15 minutes) take them out and place metal cutters into the melted candy. You may want to add Pam or a cooking spray to the edge of the cutters first. Let them sit until it gets hard. It takes a watchful eye. I work with it while it’s still hot and pliable. Once it hardens it’s set and you can’t do anything about your final product unless you melt it again. For the balls, I rolled the hot sugar with my bare hands. My hands are tough and I wouldn’t recommend doing this unless you are sure you can handle it. Since I’ve worked with it before and know my limits, I was all right but I’d use a lot of caution if it’s your first time working with something like this. I wouldn’t want anyone to get burned! Hope this helps! This is super fun to do for Valentine’s Day too. I made lots of cute hearts for cupcakes with this technique. Enjoy! :D
