Hi Elli, I used fondant and constructed them as if they were real bananas. I moulded the banana flesh in ivory fondant, then cut 4 slices of yellow as if you pulled the banana apart, then placed them around the banana each side, squeezed the bottom to make the stalk, and peeled back as far as I wanted it to go before drying in place. Then dusted with brown sugardust and dappled a little with a wet brush and some more brown sugarpaste.
Then ridged the banana as it would be in nature if you looked at a peeled banana. I get so tied up in detail some times that I know is probably not necessary, but I’m just like that ….lol :-) !!
