re: Nigerian male and female figurine

Thanks Glendale for the lovely comment. I used fondant mixed with tylose to make the clothing. For the female top, I used a tiny cutter made from heavy duty aluminum foil to cut out the holes, painted it with silver dust and alcohol. For the grey and turquoise fabric, I used an edible marker and ruler to draw the turquoise lines and then drew on the diamond shape with freehand. The design in front of the male garment was a cutout from fondant that was pressed into a lace mold. The patterns were based on the couples actual garment so it made it a little easier. A few tips on how I dressed them – I clothed the torso separately from the arms and I clothed the bottom part of the female before shaping her legs into a sitting position. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need to know more.
