I had to make a snake cake once. Yuck. I haven’t posted it here. My FYI for you is that my local supermarket sells onions in plastic mesh bags; the bag was just perfect for replicating snake skin and it was free. (I wasn’t planning to do a lot of snake cakes so I didn’t want to spend a lot on a mold or texture sheet). You might find a mesh bag on other goods too. Hope that helps.
