Shags thanks for your kind comments.The top tier was cake,and the figurine is solid icing. Now for the secret, If you look closely you can see a threaded rod running through supermans head which had a nut tightened on each side of the base board ,which then was iced over and the cake put on top ,the rod is anchored the same way on the base and board hidden under the peeled back icing on the second tier taking the weight of the cake so there is no weight on superman at all.Only problem is it all has to travel as one and this had to go up two flights of stairs and a long hall which took two men to carry.
