I had not heard of the fantasy card game “Magic: The Gathering” until I got this cake request. The character’s are surreal — monsters, dragons and heroes! It is similar to Dungeons and Dragons. I created a battle between hero Ajani Goldmane and villain Nicol Bolas – Planeswalker. The characters are modeled with gum paste over wires and then detailed with modeling chocolate. The cake is a naked ganache covered chocolate and yellow cake with Oreo Cookies and Cream filling. It is carved to look like a cliff.
