This cake was for both my awesome, super-cool nephew Matt, who I’m so proud of, & my wonderful brother in law Mike, who could NOT be a better dad & all-around good guy. Matt was born on Mike’s birthday, so we always celebrate them both.

A few months ago, my niece, Haven, told me that I just HAD to make a Call of Duty/Black Ops cake for Matt’s birthday. So, having never seen anything about the game, I did a lot of research. I LOVE skulls, so this ended up being right up my alley! I had so much fun, especially creating the barbed wire—-Lord knows I’ve helped fix enough barbed wire fences on our farm in my life that I know what it looks like!

The cake itself is a very simple yellow cake with vanilla buttercream, upon Matt’s request. All decor is edible. Happy Birthday to the best nephew & brother in law EVER!
