This cake was one of my first big cakes and was ordered by a husband for his wife’s 50th birthday as a surprise. The handbag on the top is chocolate with chocolate ganache, the second and third tier is vanilla and raspberry flavour cake. I was so terrified it was all going to collapse. I think I recall there being some tears over this one. Thankfully it all turned out all right in the end. Every cake is a learning experience and you have to take that away with you so you can build on your skills.
