Teal Ruffle and Silver leaf

I made this as a display cake for a Wedding Expo on the weekend. My first time working with silver leaf and I now know why they say do not breathe as you put it on.
The flower was like the fast fantasy flower by Ciccio cakes but I made it with double petals.
I had hoped to display this in a local shop but Rotorua is a geothermal city and therefore we have a lot of sulphur so as a result just 6 days later this has tarnished. Next time I will spray it with glaze as soon as I make it.
