Hell again – my second posting.
Thought I’d ride my luck and post a second cake after my bird and gerbera. This one is very different, it’s Master Yoda and a mini tutoria on how I made him which involved surrounding myself with loads of pictures of him from all sides and just going for it with a sharp knife.
Before I started the carving I put him in the freezer for about an hour so he was nice and firm. Once carved I crumb coated him, and put on forehead bumps and embedded his ears deep into the sides of his head using skewers. Once that was done and I’d chilled him for 10 minutes I added his sugar paste skin and put on eyebrow, nose and eyes. The final skin tone detail is painted on.
The birthday boy loved it – he said cutting him up was the best bit – I dont think I could have watched that! x
