Shoes are made with Gumpaste with a touch of food coloring.

For those who are curious,
Quick ways to start playing with Gumpaste is to buy Wilton Ready To Use Gum Paste at your local Michael’s store or online. And use a little shortening to prevent stickiness and drying.

Food Coloring I use Wilton Set of 8 Icing Colors. I just dip the end of a toothpick in the coloring and mix it in. (note: its very likely you’ll dye your hands)
