My lovely Mum turns 60 on the 24th March. She asked if I would make her cake…the theme….Dragons! I decided to pull out all of the stops and I made my first ever tiered cake. The tins were plant pot shaped which is why its a bit slope-y on the edges!! The colour scheme is very me!!

The bottom tier is white chocolate mud cake with a white chocolate ganache, the middle is lemon cake filled with lemon curd and lemon buttercream, the top is vanilla sponge filled with jam and vanilla frosting.

I also made 48 cupcakes to go with it, 24 x vanilla decorated with flowers matching the cake and 24 x cherry bakewell.

Mum loved the cake :-)
