I have tried a few times and never really felt that I have achieved the perfect rose. This wedding cake had 30 roses and they really were a lobour of love. Over 3 late nights and even through a power cut, when I was making these by candle light, I created these roses which to date are certainly my best yet……..not perfect but on the way there!
I really love the bright contrast of the fuschia pink against the stark white.
As for the powercut……..the super lovely Jo from Ciccio Cakes messaged me to say that if I needed to borrow her kitchen to get my work done that she would meet me there. I can’t ask for a better cakey friend :)
