Cake Ball Cake-Photo Shoot with Laura Christin

I wanted to push the boundaries of how cake pops and cake balls were displayed so I made a cake ball cake with the top tier “floating” so I could hang sugar beads off the top tier. For the “topiary” I made a unit to hold cake pops in a sphere and used a vintage milkglass vase to display it. Simple cake balls are to the left and gourmet marshmallows dipped in chocolate are in front. Photography by Laura Christin (
