Τhis cake kept me awake..slept at 3 and woke at 7..had made modelling chocolate the night before and was anxious to work with it..well..,in 1996 when I first made it ,it was an immediate success.Now with so much more knowledge on baking it me gave a really hard time and the result was not the expected one.The cake inside is chestnut cream with malt whiskey and chocolate sponge.I used fondant as well because the white modelling chocolate failed me..next time it won’t because I am very persistent.Nevertheless, the result filled me with euphoria as every time I am in the kitchen.
