This cake originates from Mexico, or possibly Nicaragua. It means Three Milks cake because it is a featherlight sponge soaked in milk, condensed milk and evaporated milk, and topped with whipped fresh cream. You would think it would be sickly sweet and soggy but no! This cake is literally the ambrosia of the gods! It is meant to be topped with glacé cherries, but since I don t like them I opted for raspberries. The tart taste of the raspberries complements this cake beautifully. For me, this was a little (well, maybe not so little) slice of heaven:)
