My oldest granddaughter loves Lallaloopsy dolls. I think she has every single one ever manufactured. For her 4th birthday I used the Lallaloopsy playhouse for my model and endeavored to create a Lallaloopsy “garden” with the tree house and cake pops as the Lallaloopsy doll “flowers”. This was my first attempt at a 3-D cake. We used small drain pipe and plumbing fixtures to attache the upright support structure to the base board. Rice cereal treats molded in a bowl covered with modeling chocolate leaves made the top of the tree. Modeling chocolate covered the tree trunk. Lallaloopsy dolls have button eyes so made buttons to decorate the side of the cake.
Most of the flowers and dolls heads were done with modeling chocolate too. Making all the tiny rolls of hair was very time comsuming. I wish the faces had come out a little softer but overall was pretty pleased. Was delivering the cake to a local party venue and passed a little girl and her mom. She said look at the Lallaloopsy cake and I was so thankful that it really did look like what I meant for it too!
