For the Cake Bake & Sweets Show, I created a wedding cake featuring a jealous pup named Teddy, who adorably stole the bride cake topper. The superhero groom is depicted climbing down the cake to rescue his bride. Despite not aiming for a win and just participating to support CBSS, my cake won 2nd place in the wedding category, which was a delightful surprise.
The playful 3D puppy was crafted with RKT inside and covered with hand-cut fondant, taking three days to complete. Both the bride and groom were hand-crafted without molds. The stool had a metal structure inside and was covered with fondant, with a hand-painted wooden effect. The three-tier dummy cake was covered with fondant, incorporating macramé and Lambeth styles for a simple yet exciting design. The groom climbing down the cake using a macramé thread added a fun touch.
Although there was no People's Choice Award this year, the puppy wedding cake went viral on social media, proving that Teddy stole not only the bride but also many hearts!
