A special cake to celebrate my best friends parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary. 

This was my first try at wafer paper fantasy flowers. I added sparkly diamond centres to some of the blossoms. Top tier was lemon sponge with buttercream and lemon curd. Bottom tier was vanilla sponge with buttercream and strawberry jam. 

I added edible images of the lovely couple from their wedding day and now 60 years later.

60 years!, WOW!!
