This birthday cake is really special, even though it's just one of countless similar cakes I've ever made. It's because this cake is the first one I decorated using rice paper.

Nervous during the process? Of course. There were a lot of tears and cracks. It's called the first time, after all. 😂 

Rice paper birthday cakes did become a favorite at that time. With a combination of red, white, and gold, there is elegance in its simplicity.
