This was my piece for the Sweet Garden Collaboration
I wanted to showcase some of the wildflowers I’ve seen during hikes in western Pennsylvania. Different seasons bring their unique floral beauty while creating the sense of floating joy. My woodland Ballerina’s flowers and leaves were created with gum paste. They include; red trillium, Oxeye Daisy, Star Chic Weed, Everlasting pea, Wild Common Forget-Me-Not, Lawn Violets, Clover, Field Mustard, Common Evening Primrose, Wild Raspberry, and edible Sponge Moss. The Dakota Fields statuette was covered in modeling chocolate and fondant.
There are a few baby French tulips included as my personal tribute to Chef Nicholas Lodge as they were the first flower I ever learned from him.
