Penelope is the queen of Ithaca and the wife of Odysseus. Penelope is known for her fidelity to Odysseus, despite the attention of more than a hundred suitors during his absence.
She pretended that she had to weave a death shroud for her father-in-law before marriage. At night, however, she always unravels again everything she has woven during the day.
