Please join me in congratulating the entire cast and crew for their Best Picture Oscar win for the movie, “ELVIS”!!!  Now, I’m sure you’re thinking, “What is this batty woman talking about?? The Oscars haven’t taken place yet and they are three days away!”.  I know!!!  I am THAT confident that not only will the movie “ELVIS” win Best Picture, but I predict that it will mop the floor in all the other categories that it has been nominated for, as well!  Been a die-hard Elvis fan all my life.  Not only did this movie rekindle my love for this man, but it has also introduced him to a new generation who otherwise would never have known the man, the legend, Elvis Presley.  I’ve watched the movie 8 times (I now own it!) and every time I watch it, I can honestly say that I appreciate it more and more and it leaves me wanting to watch it again! Never has a movie had such a profound effect on me.  

Director @BazLuhrmann is pure genius with a brilliant mind! Thank you, Baz, for your gift in bringing your vision to life on the big screen!  So many spectacular and memorable scenes in this movie…it’s hard to comprehend how Baz Lurhmann wasn’t nominated for best director.

And, @AustinButler??  Wow…just WOW!  Truly phenomenal…electric and mesmerizing…his performance demands your attention, and it works…I can’t take my eyes off him!!  What an extremely talented young man who obviously poured his heart and soul into portraying Elvis.  He not only nailed it…he embodied him and did so with humility and grace and made the Presley family very proud.  It’s so heartbreaking that Lisa Marie can’t be with us to celebrate this monumental victory but, hopefully, she’s having her own celebration with all her loved ones in heaven.
