Story behind beautiful indigenous girl Medika,

Story behind beautiful indigenous girl Medika,
When the theme says "Aussie sculpted cakes" how can we forget Indigenous Australians? Especially in NAIDOC week. I did some research about their culture, lifestyle and teachings. They have a very fascinating history that goes back thousands of years.
The indigenous story called "The lost girl" inspired me with the design. The story says that mother nature fed and gave warmth to the lost girl and showed her way out of the jungle. The troupe asked the lost girl, "weren't you scared?" and the girl said "No, I was with my mother." That conveys the indigenous teaching of "if we protect nature the nature protects us" in a very strong and unique way.
I hope I interpreted the message in this beautiful form of art. Look at her face, isn't she happily observing the beautiful butterfly and spreading love! Look how relaxing she is sitting near a pond full of tiny fishes and gorgeous water lilies. Her beautiful hair is dangling through the wind.
This was exactly what I pictured when I was reading the story of the lost girl. So I really enjoyed making every single detail of it and couldn't be happier when I finished.
There is no doubt that you enjoyed this creation as much as I did.
Thank you for voting for my sweet Medika at the Cake Bake and Sweets Show.
