Blush and Burgundy Flowers for Thanksgiving

Blush and Burgundy Flowers for Thanksgiving
This beautiful cake was a spiced pumpkin flavor (adapted from a Martha Stewart cupcake recipe) and filled with cream cheese icing. The outside of the cake is iced in Italian Meringue Buttercream.

The cake is decorated with a variety of Sugar Flowers in blush & burgundy shades. (Will this color combo ever go out of style? I hope not! It’s *gorgeous*) The flowers include:
Blush Dahlia and buds
Burgundy roses and rosebuds
White Anemones
Burgundy hypericum berries
Tiny Pinecones
Fern leaf sprays

This is one of my favorite cakes that I’ve ever made! I created it for the first Thanksgiving dinner that my boyfriend (now husband) and I hosted in 2017. The flowers were a last-minute idea I had, but the cascade turned out perfect! The flowers from this cake were featured on a 2018 Wedding Trends segment on Good Morning America in March 2018. I consider it my 15 seconds of fame :)
