The flowers are not what one would typically associate with winter, but so typical here, people walk around in sweaters and coars when it is 20 degrees centigrade outside.

The cake is mascrapone-cocoa mousse. When making soft cakes, I use hard drying gumpaste to cover a cake pan wrapped in aluminum foil which is one inch larger than the cake size, when it is almost dry carefully take out the pan and peel off the foil and set it to dry completely, then paint it inside with cocoa butter or melted chocolate and decorate the gumpaste cover and set it over the cake using a bit of melted chocolate to stick the cake and cover in place on the board.
