Morning everyone! its been a while since i last posted, i hope you are all well?. Ive had a week off from my “proper” job last week and i spent the week preparing for my eldest daughter Amy-Louise baby shower. (how excited am i?!, its my first Grandchild :D). Amy decided on a yellow and grey theme and i helped come up with a design for the cake and cookies. I couldn’t wait to make a hot air balloon carrying cute handmade characters! The hot balloon was non edible so we cold keep it, the cake was chocolate sponge. The sugar cookie elephants and hot air balloons were a first for me, and were iced with royal icing. I think i made a bit of a mistake putting the cheeky monkey at the back because you couldn’t see him well and in the pictures hes behind the sticks :(. All about placement isnt it, and we learn from our mistakes!
We had a fab day celebrating with family and and friends, only 8 weeks until we can meet the lil bubba xx
