Lindy Smith’s chocolate fudge cake , filled with chocolate buttercream, covered with Milk/plain chocolate ganache & fondant. The fondant was white mixed with Belgian chocolate fondant .
It was my first time ganaching a square cake which went perfectly. However, sadly the fondant didn’t play ball and developed ‘elephant skin’ , dried out quickly which stopped me getting really sharp edges.
Luckily it was a ‘parcel’ cake so it actually made it look more authentic.
Just a hobby baker but love seeing other people's work & aspire to creating something as beautiful one day.
