This beauty debuted exactly 5 years ago, as part of my collaboration with my cake friends from all around the world. The theme was street art, and I was inspired by a piece of wall painting in Montreal.

A few elements were combined to bring out the beauty of this piece. The face was hand-painted and colour dusted. Wafer paper cherry blossoms were added for dimension on top of the hand-painted cherry blossom tree, and gelatin wings to add an element of whimsy on the cake. Lovely walls of Merchant Lane cafe in Petaling Street provides the perfect backdrop for the cake.
