I made this cake for the Creepy World Collaboration. It is based on a photo by Los Angeles photographer Alex Stoddard.
I always struggle with Halloween theme cakes because I don’t like gore. So it becomes a challenge to do scary without bloody or gross. I saw this photo and couldn’t take my eyes off it! Like an Alfred Hitchcock movie, it leaves you with so many questions as to what is happening or will happen, and our minds create fear and terror bigger than any actual image could.
