If you’re ever in a creative rut, I highly recommend making a paint splattered cake. This is a buttercream cake splattered with gel coloring mixed with vodka. I used a variety of paint brushes – each gives a slightly different result. Plan on setting your cake in a large box flipped on its side to avoid make a complete mess! Put the cake on a turntable so you can rotate as you work. Fun!
The flower is wafer paper that was splattered before cutting the petals. The idea was to make it a continuation of the cake. I love the result!
